Oak Wine Room (265 bottles)
-
Stage one of a cellar upgrade in Cobham, Surrey. The stunning stone staircase and corridor now leads to the feature wine room with solid dark oak and glass door.
-
The wine room has been made from a slightly lighter English Oak which gives a subtle contrast to the darker oak doors.
-
The wine room holds 265 bottles, comprising of 169 single bottles and 6 magnums. There is also space for four, 12 bottles cases, or eight, half cases.
-
Finally we have incorporated a Swisscave 42 bottle, duel zone wine fridge to store a few cases of 1st growth Bordeaux whilst also having dinner party white wine chilled down to the perfect serving temperature.
-
With all old houses the floor, walls and ceiling weren't straight so there is some really detailed scribing to ensure that the carpentry fits perfectly.
-
The second stage of the project will see the larger cellar transformed into a family games room with bar area. Its already benefiting from the matching oak and glass doors which make the combined space appear much bigger, lighter and more open.
